A 'Green Option' and Less Expense - Repairs are Fast and Convenient

Windshield repair can be a great option for customer looking to restore the integrity of their windshield quickly and inexpensively and are covered by our lifetime warranty. Repairs are available in-shop or mobile at your location. Payment can be made by cash/credit or through insurance policy.  Repairs often take no more than 30-45 minutes to complete although appointments are strongly encouraged to guarantee service. Many insurance carriers will provide this service with no deductible charge to encourage timely correction of small breaks (check with Alderfer Glass or your agent for coverage details).

In a windshield repair, our trained technicians will drill through the outer layer of glass in your windshield and inject a glass-like resin that cures under UV light. This process is designed to strengthen the crack and keep it from spreading further across your windshield. Please note that repairs will still be visible after a successful repair - the cleaner the break and smaller the mark allow for decreased visibility after a repair. Glass cannot be completely "healed" but repairs allow useful service for your windshield even after a break.

A Break is NOT REPAIRABLE if it is larger then the size of a half dollar coin (1" radius) or within the drivers direct vision i.e. an imaginary 8 ½ X 11 sheet of paper in front of the driver. This is for customer benefit - repairs larger than that size have a very low success rate and high warranty call back.

Please be aware that lifetime warranty (as explained here) does not apply to successful state inspection of vehicle.  If you are unsure, it is always best to check with your inspection station prior to appointment to confirm that a windshield repair will pass state inspection requirements.
