Lifetime Warranty

Alderfer Glass Co. is proud to guarantee all windshield repairs and windshield replacements against defects in materials and workmanship for as long as you own your vehicle. (See warranty details below).  We have nationwide warranty coverage through our relationships with the Independent Glass Association (IGA) and we gladly offer the best warranty in the business bar none, backed by our easily accessible network of 4 store locations.

If there is a problem with your auto glass transaction our team will address it personally and quickly regardless of insurance payment status, and the warranty is tied to you directly as our customer - not to the insurance company.

Warranty Details:

Replacement

Fixed glass installations (i.e windshields) are warranted as long as customer owns the vehicle against water leakage and stress cracks due to improper installation, except that which occurs as a result of vehicle collision damage or metal panel deterioration (rust). All other auto glass replacement is warranted for one year against defects of workmanship. All installed operating glass parts are warranted for 30 days against mechanical failure.  During the applicable warranty period Alderfer Glass will perform service and/or replace parts at no charge to remedy warranty issue.

Repairs

Windshield repairs are guaranteed to last for as long as customer owns the vehicle.  If a windshield repair continues to crack after service has been performed successfully, the cost of the repair or applicable deductible will be credited towards a new windshield installation at Alderfer Glass Co.

Please note that lifetime warranty does not apply to PA state inspection pass/fail nor does it apply to a customer's perceived visual clarity of repaired break.  Consumer should be aware that break may still be visible even after successful repair. Also note that further breakage of windshield is possible during repair process.  Alderfer Glass Co. will not be liable in instances of breakage during repair service nor will a service charge be levied, although a replacement windshield may be furnished at discounted cost.

Applicable or additional deductible for replacement after an unsuccessful repair shall be customer responsibility.

 Headlight Restoration

Alderfer Glass warrants headlight restoration services for one year against defects in workmanship.  This includes deteriotation or yellowing of headlight lens due to normal driving and weather conditions.  Any deterioration or flaws due to improper cleaning, abrasion or mechanical car washes is not covered.  Alderfer Glass always recommends 'touchless' car washes for both glass and headlight lens.  Warranty provides for additional restoration service at no charge within the remaining original warranty period. 

Additional Exclusions/Limitations:

This warranty relates to workmanship issues only, e.g. windshield leakage and installation related issues such as stress crack. Glass breakage which is not directly the result of improper windshield installation is not warranted i.e stone impact etc.  Breakage or leaks as a result of subsequent vehicle collision, rust, pre-existing damage/issues or poor vehicle design are expressly not warranted.  Warranty applies to direct service performed by Alderfer Glass Co. only and does not apply to unrelated vehicle issues, parts and/or preexisting conditions.  Any glass related service performed on same part by another company after prior service by Alderfer Glass Co. voids the lifetime warranty, and Alderfer Glass warranty is considered expired and void.  Warranty is to be claimed directly to Alderfer Glass Co. in a reasonable time frame after service or warranty related incident, and will be remedied according to the warranty terms.  Any issues not able to be resolved directly by Alderfer Glass Co. at a company facility (third-party vendor) must be approved in writing by an Alderfer Glass Co. representative prior to third party service.  Note that third party bills will not be paid without prior authorization.  Proof of loss and reasonable and realistic proof of cause must be provided in third party warranty claims.  Lifetime warranty is limited to purchase price of original product. Warranty is written and backed by Alderfer Glass Co. directly.  In no event shall Alderfer Glass Co., Lynx Services, PPG or its participants be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
